Morocco: The EEAM Youth Group Launches a Major Eco-Friendly Challenge!

In light of the climate and environmental crisis, the Youth Ministry of the Evangelical Church in Morocco—whose activities are fully aligned with theShared Action initiative—reaffirms its commitment to the protection of Creation.

This June 2026, it is taking a new step by inviting young people from CEVAA member churches, the Catholic community, and local communities to come together around an ambitious project: “The Earth, My Heritage and My Mission Today for Tomorrow”.
The goal of this initiative is clear: to raise awareness, educate, and encourage young people to take concrete, eco-responsible actions. Through digital platforms, participants will be able to come together, learn, and act collectively to preserve our planet, so that it remains a place of flourishing for future generations.

A two-part program: Learning to Act More Effectively
The project is structured around two major online training sessions, which are essential for laying the groundwork for reflection:
Thursday, June 11 (7:00 PM – 9:00 PM): An Introduction to the Foundations of Christian Eco-Theology.
Thursday, June 18 (7:00 PM – 9:00 PM): Becoming a steward of Creation: From Conviction to Action.

The #7DaysForThePlanet Challenge

Following these training sessions, it’s time to put theory into practice with Eco-Responsibility Week and its daily challenges. Whether they’re newcomers or committed environmentalists, participants will have to take on challenges and submit photographic evidence of their efforts. A rigorous points system will reward their efforts:

Basic participation: 10 points per day.
Media Bonus: +5 points for a photo, +10 points for a video.
Impact Bonus: Additional points are awarded for creativity (+10 pts), family participation (+15 pts), raising awareness among friends and family (+10 pts), or a significant real-world impact (+20 pts). Be careful, however, of penalties for breaking the rules (-10 pts)!

The competition will be held as an individual event (open to all) or as a team event (by parish for the EEAM, or by community for the Cevaa and the Catholic Church). While the rankings will be updated daily, the final results will be announced on Sunday, along with the presentation of several prestigious awards: Best Ambassador, Best Team, and the Creativity Award.
