A new way of inhabiting creation

The Cevaa booklet

The concept

a booklet to understand everything

Designed as a support tool, the booklet Living differently with creation helps every church, group or believer to move from reflection to action. It offers prayers, biblical suggestions, activities and theological resources for animating community life around the care of creation, God's gift to us.

In October 2023, during its 12e general assembly in Jacqueville, Côte d'Ivoire, Cevaa launched a new theme: Living differently with creation, based on Genesis 2:15. Together, the Churches are committed to protecting the Earth, rebuilding ties with living beings and bearing witness to a responsible and active faith.

Cevaa

Living in creation

Our times cannot ignore the ecological question, nor reduce it to its political facet, for it has a moral and spiritual dimension. Inhabiting creation differently is intended to raise real, concrete awareness of man's destruction of creation, even though God has entrusted it to us., the creator, to keep and maintain it. To this end, initiatives are springing up all over the community: tree planting, clean-up actions, biblical workshops on ecology, reflection seminars, youth camps to raise awareness and train for responsible stewardship of the Earth.

Consult the Booklet

To take an active part in the Action communal Action, an animation booklet has been published. It compiles the ambition of the theme Habiter autrement la création, an introduction toécotheology. Above all, the booklet is a practical tool, providing ideas for prayers rooted in faith, as well as biblical and theological animations. Anyone can join the Action commune Action and, thanks to the booklet, can organize an activity within to organize an activity in your church, support a local project or raise awareness in your community. Don't hesitate to download it for yourself. Together, let's bear witness to our commitment to living differently with creation and caring for God's gift.
